Completion of the soundproofing job on Francis Upton's house is still a few weeks off, but the El Segundo resident is already enjoying the benefits in her home a few blocks south of LAX.
'We got a little deaf. It was very noisy,' she said. 'It was hard trying to listen to the television or music. ... (The work) definitely has reduced it by at least 75 percent.'"
